France: Port Strikes - Update

The new law on French ports was voted on 04 July.

Negotiations have been open with trade union regarding some aspects of this law.  However the negotiations have been hold from 15 July until September.  During this time, the trade unions have decided to slow down their strikes actions.

The situation is improving and some shipping lines are re-opening their service to Le Havre and FOS.  This is a temporary situation and at this moment nobody knows what is going to happen in September.  The situation may well improve or it may well deteriorate.
