Chile: Customs Strike

Chilean Customs has been on strike since last 13 November.

At this time, Government and Public Workers sector are negotiationing to reach a mutual goal.

Customs public workers are not allowing normal operations on customs clearance. This is having a direct impact on import and export clearance for air and ocean freight and international trucking.

The strike is affecting all Chile ports, airports and borders crossings.

Once strike is lifted there will be considerable delays due to current backlog.
